Job Summary

Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist Inpatient. This temporary or temp-to-permanent position provides occupational therapy services in an acute care setting for a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, stroke, cardiac, critical care, and general medical patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, documentation, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy; active Occupational Therapist licensure in the State of Florida; at least 1 year of acute care experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider; intermediate computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheet, email, and Windows-based systems.
• Schedule: Day shift, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; primarily weekdays with occasional weekend shifts as needed; 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Evaluates patients and develops individualized plans of care based on functional abilities, impairments, age, culture, and diagnosis. Provides therapeutic treatment, monitors patient progress, modifies goals as appropriate, educates patients and care teams, maintains timely and accurate documentation, manages therapy materials, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. The position may involve temporary or temp-to-permanent employment.
