Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (09:00 - 21:00), with variable start times at 7:00 or 9:00. On-call required, distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks (up to 6-8 shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends). May need to cover one night shift within contract as needed. Weekend coverage required. Assignment duration: 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

Highlights:

  • 277-bed acute care hospital with trauma designation requiring diverse surgical experience
  • Daily census of approximately 25 cases across multiple specialties including trauma, ortho, neuro, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN
  • Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
  • Free parking available for all staff
  • Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services
  • Opportunity to work with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System

Requirements:

  • Valid California RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of OR nursing experience required
  • Trauma Level I experience required with demonstrated competency in trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho procedures
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Willingness to float between like units and affiliated facilities as needed
  • Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
  • Requested time off must be submitted at time of application
