Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room Circulator with at least 2 years of OR experience and multi-specialty surgical skills for a 13-week assignment in Pontiac, MI.

Details

• Surgical Department with 7 operating suites performing a full spectrum of surgical specialties, excluding open-heart surgery
• Circulating RN role supporting Ortho, General, GYN, Urology, and Neuro cases
• Uses Paragon EMR
• Hospital-provided scrubs required
• Days shift, 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required Saturday and Sunday from 0700-1930 and Monday from 0900-2130
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of consideration (compact license not accepted)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Must be able to circulate independently
• Experience required in Ortho, General, GYN, Urology, and Neuro surgical specialties
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required

• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards
• Follow medical center policies, mission, and standards of practice per professional and regulatory guidelines
• Candidates living within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and receive a reduced travel rate
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
• McLaren full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
