Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in circulating within the OR, particularly in orthopedic procedures, and have a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary nursing assessments and interventions in the OR setting.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure successful outcomes for patients.
• Maintain a sterile environment, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide immediate care in response to any changes during procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and management of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience as an RN in an operating room setting.
• Proven experience as a circulator with strong orthopedic knowledge.
• Must have a valid RN license in Vermont or a compact license.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Availability to work one weekend per month and be on call for up to 10 shifts per month.
• Willingness to travel for assignments; personal vehicle required.
