Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of recent General OR experience and a Maryland or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the General OR unit of an acute and sub-acute care hospital
• Experience needed in GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics cases
• Day shift schedule, 6:50 AM - 3:20 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• 2+ years of recent General OR experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties including GYN, bariatrics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and plastics required
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without restrictions
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted, must be a state record)
• Flu vaccination required (declinations not accepted)

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
• Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self and those under their direction
• Utilize specialized clinical judgment and nursing skills appropriate to patient population and case type
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction and no rate change
• Candidates may request RTO up to the equivalent of one contracted work week
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
