Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Operating Room (OR) in Miami, FL. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing top-notch care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 29 beds
• Staffing: 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, and a clinical coordinator
• Patient Ratios: 3:1
• Equipment: X-rays, preoperative, anesthesiologist, lab, electrocardiography, EKG
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Procedures: Joint replacement, ENT, Ortho, Spine, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery, and Plastic Surgery.

Skill Set:

• Must Have: ACLS, BLS, 2 years current experience in acute OR setting, ortho, spine, and joint replacement experience, including knee and hip replacement.
• Preferred: PALS, CNOR, any Charge experience.

The RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all patients.

Best Personality Fit: Dedicated, reliable, proficient in charting, critical thinker, passionate, multitasking, with excellent bedside manner.

Dress Code: Acceptable scrub colors are navy blue or royal blue. No surgical-type scrubs allowed.

Unit Guidelines: Must be able to scrub and circulate across all service lines. Rotating weekends are a possibility, with on-call requirements including:

• 4 on-call requirements for a 4-week period
• 2 weeknight calls (7 PM - 7 AM)
• 2 weekend 24-hour calls
• 1 holiday 24-hour call (if a holiday falls within the 4-week period)

Awards/Recognition: The facility is a 488-bed acute care hospital accredited by the Joint Commission with a Gold Seal approval. It is recognized as a comprehensive stroke facility and has received the Blue Distinction award for Stroke care, along with a new Cardiology Center and Arrhythmia Syncope Center.
