Join a leading acute-care hospital in Baltimore, MD as an Operating Room Registered Nurse. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional care in the Operating Room (OR). With a focus on advanced technology and evidence-based practices, you will be an integral part of the patient care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, age-appropriate care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Function as a resource for patients and families, ensuring effective communication and support.
• Participate in approximately 40 surgical cases per day, utilizing advanced techniques and technology.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Float within scope as needed to meet facility requirements.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
• Level II trauma experience required; teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred.
• Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIH, and PALS preferred.
• Completion of a 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course and 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs required.
• Proficiency in Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures.
• Experience with emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia, and latex allergy precautions required.
• Familiarity with Cerner/Surginet charting system.

Additional Information:

• Must be available for every other weekend and on-call shifts as required (1 on call per week, and 2 eight-hour weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule).
• Time off restrictions apply: auto-approval for 14 days or less of RTO; no RTO on hard-to-fill days or during winter and summer holidays.
• Scrubs are provided for your convenience.
