Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 14-week day shift assignment requiring 4+ years of OR experience, Level II trauma experience, and KY/compact licensure.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every weekend required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must be able to circulate a variety of surgical cases
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY State or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience circulating a wide variety of surgical cases including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, urology, neurology, and robotics
• At least 1 supervisor reference from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for circulating a broad range of surgical specialties including general, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurologic, urologic, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Trauma case experience required, including gunshot wounds and multiple injury trauma cases
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous UK-affiliated staff must have a 6-month gap in employment before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration, as requests made afterward will not be approved
