Job Description:
IU Health is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for its OR Core 6 team. The RN will circulate in a broad range of surgical specialties and may float according to facility needs. Candidates should be well-rounded and clinically current in multiple OR specialties, excluding cardiovascular and transplant surgery.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience.
- Level I trauma experience is mandatory.
- Current BLS certification.
- Active Indiana RN license in hand at submission; pending licenses are not accepted.
- Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred.
- Current experience in at least 3–4 relevant specialties, including:
- General surgery and plastics.
- Gynecology, including D&C and laparoscopic procedures.
- Neurology and neurosurgery.
- Orthopedics.
- ENT.
- Urology/GU.
- Trauma and robotic surgery.
- Cerner experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.
- Two supervisor references required.
- Candidates must provide 2–3 days of interview availability at submission.
- Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions only.

- Local Indiana candidates may be eligible at a reduced in-state bill rate.
- Scrubs provided; free parking available.
- Up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off may be auto approved; additional time off requires facility approval.
- Previous IU Health permanent or PRN employees must meet the 12-month separation policy.
