Requirements

• Start Date: Within the next 3–5 weeks preferred.
• Experience: 2–3 years of OR experience strongly preferred.
• Schedule: Friday–Sunday.
• Call: No call required.
• EMR: Some experience with Cerner required.
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • BLS
• Orientation: 3–4 days.
• Experience in most of the following surgical specialties:
  • Robotic surgery — Da Vinci XI
  • Orthopedics
  • Spine/Neuro
  • General Surgery/GYN
  • ENT
  • Ophthalmology
  • Pain Management
  • Urology
  • Vascular
• Trauma: Level II trauma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and the operating room for scheduled procedures.
• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Demonstrate proficiency with robotic procedures, including Da Vinci XI.
• Support orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and follow surgical and infection-control protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures as appropriate to the RN role.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner.
• Follow facility policies, standards of practice, and patient-safety requirements.
