Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nurse Contract in Newburgh, Indiana

Experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses are invited to apply for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Newburgh and Evansville, Indiana. Join a collaborative perioperative team, provide circulating nurse support across hospital operating rooms, and work with a variety of surgical specialties on a consistent 40-hour weekly schedule. Travel OR Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170–$2,290
• Assignment Type: Operating Room RN travel contract
• Location: Newburgh and Evansville, Indiana area
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, approximately Monday through Friday
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week, excluding applicable orientation and facility-closure exceptions
• Shift Timing: Variable start times between approximately 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
• Call Requirements: Weeknight call approximately once per week and every sixth weekend, with a 30-minute response time
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: As scheduled; weekends may be required
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Documentation System: Epic
• Scrub Attire: Provided

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Indiana or a valid compact-state license
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 2 years of operating room nursing or perioperative nursing experience
• At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment
• Demonstrated neurosurgery experience is required
• Experience with circulating procedures in general, orthopedic, ENT, plastics, robotics, vascular, neuro, and orthopedic trauma cases
• Associate degree or nursing certificate required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to float between nearby hospital campuses and adapt to possible mid-shift reassignment
• Reliable, resilient, adaptable, and collaborative approach to patient care
• Candidates must reside outside the applicable 40-mile local-candidate radius

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience
• Serve as the circulating nurse for a broad range of surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, verify equipment and supplies, and maintain a sterile and safe environment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
• Support robotic, general, ENT, plastics, orthopedic, vascular, neuro, and orthopedic trauma procedures
• Complete accurate documentation in Epic and maintain compliance with surgical safety standards
• Participate in scheduled call, weekend, and holiday coverage
• Float between nearby campuses as assigned based on patient-care needs and clinical expertise
