Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a valid CA license and Epic charting experience for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

  • Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule with variable start times (5x8 hours), including 0630-1500, 0830-1700, and 1100-1830
  • Perform a wide range of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, vascular, and neurology cases
  • Support trauma cases including amputations, burns, gunshot/stab wounds, and MVA with multiple injuries
  • Experience with robotics preferred, including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
  • Work in General OR and Thoracic settings, including VATS procedures preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license in hand required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Copy of certifications required for consideration
  • 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs/Leads

Additional Information

  • Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties
  • Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
  • Travelers must be willing to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
  • Former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Minimal RTO accommodated for this assignment
  • First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
