Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active MD or Compact RN license, BLS certification, and prior charge experience.

Details

• General Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required, averaging 4 shifts per 6-week schedule
• On-call responsibilities required, averaging 4 calls per 6-week period with a 1-hour response time
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Floating required within scope, with travelers prioritized to float first

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• CNOR certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• CPI certification required for compliance (Calm Every Storm online version only accepted)

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across a variety of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, vascular, gynecology, urology, and more
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible unless otherwise specified
• Maximum of 7 consecutive days of requested time off; requests exceeding 4 consecutive days require an additional week added to the back end of new contracts
• Former staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers must have at least a 6-month break from the system after completing an assignment
• Most locations allow one contract extension, after which a 6-month break from the facility/unit is required
