Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic scrub skills and teaching hospital experience for a 14-week assignment.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:45am to 5:15pm
• Ability to circulate and scrub for Ortho-Joints, Ortho, ENT, and Ophthalmology procedures
• Experience with General, Endo/Lap, Gyn, Plastics, and Podiatry surgeries required
• Epic charting system used
• Floating to other facility locations may be required at any time during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Strong orthopedic and scrubbing experience required, including Total joint replacement, Arthroscopy, Spinal Fusion, and ACL Reconstruction
• Experience with airway management and aseptic technique required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across multiple surgical specialties including Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gyn, Plastics, General, Endo/Lap, and Podiatry
• Any prior employment with a University of California medical facility or its acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates worked, units, and manager names for a rehire eligibility check
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager prior to offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no time off permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit
