Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience across General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, and Robotics specialties.

Details

• Operating Room unit setting within a hospital
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No scheduled weekend shifts, but weekend call is required (currently 1 in 4)
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Floating required as needed
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, including exposure to General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN procedures
• Inpatient RN travelers must have 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being applied to
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Prior charge experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start, including 100% accuracy on lethal rhythm identification and an 80% or higher overall passing score

Additional Information

• Perform surgical scrub and circulating duties across a wide range of procedures including General Surgery, GYN, Orthopedics, Urology, Robotics, ENT, and Podiatry
• Support procedures involving the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and other robotic-assisted surgeries
• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, and specimen handling
• Participate in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
• Free onsite parking available
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Candidates must be prepared to complete pass/fail testing, including a telemetry exam, with limited attempts before assignment cancellation
