Description

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with 2+ years of experience and an active AK RN license for a Magnet, Level II Trauma hospital.

Details

• Operating Room unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Shift options of 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour day shifts, with varying start times (0645-1915 or 0900-2130)
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
• May float to like units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• Facility provides scrubs

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required (must be in hand for consideration)
• BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• 1:1 patient ratio experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Current certifications copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Work at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma, USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
• Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
• Former Providence permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year in this assignment before requiring a 6-month break to return
• RTO must be submitted and approved individually at time of offer
• Facility only accepts Hep B vaccination; titers or declinations are not accepted
• Housing options in the area may be limited
