Call Requirements
-On-call from 1530 to 1800, Monday through Friday only
-Call typically assigned 1–2 times per week
-No call cases are run past 1800, though staff may occasionally be required to stay beyond if a
surgery is still in progress (rare)
Unit Volume
-15–30 surgical cases per day
-Higher volumes typically occur on cataract surgery days
