Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma Center requiring EPIC experience and general OR/trauma background.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a Level I Trauma Center
• Primarily adult patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day/Evening rotating shifts (7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p)
• Call required, including up to 4 weeknight calls and 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required; compact licenses not accepted
• BLS and CAC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• General OR and Trauma surgery experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• All required certifications must be obtained prior to start date

Additional Information

• Scrub and assist in a wide range of surgical specialties including plastics, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, bariatrics, robotics, and trauma procedures
• Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci and Mako preferred
• Familiarity with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and specialty OR equipment
• Flu vaccination required with no medical or religious exemptions; allergy-free option available if needed
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after one year, provided they left in good standing and were not employed within the past 12 months
• Traveler pairs are not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• No pre-hire training modules required; all orientation modules completed onsite
