Job Summary: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse (RN) position available in an outpatient setting. Located adjacent to a main facility, this role involves providing specialized care for patients recovering from anesthesia following various surgical procedures. The position is suitable for candidates with a strong ophthalmology background and focuses on delivering high-quality post-operative care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid state license, at least 3 years of experience in a PACU setting, 2 years of patient ratio experience, Epic charting system experience, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications: Ophthalmology experience, post shift call availability from 1800 to 2100 hours, and familiarity with outpatient surgical procedures.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
Additional Information: Candidates must be open to working three major holidays and sign RTO as pending; all holiday RTO requests should be included at the time of submission. Post shift call duties are required, with frequency based on department needs. The unit supports a variety of procedures including ophthalmology, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, and podiatry amongst others. Travel experience is not mandatory.
