Job Summary

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position in a rotating-shift setting. The role provides post-anesthesia care for a diverse patient population and requires strong telemetry assessment, pediatric care, and drip and titration skills.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week; weekend coverage every other weekend as needed; on-call coverage may be requested as needed.
• Required Qualifications: At least 12 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, including 24 months of current PACU experience; active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license; current pediatric care experience; strong experience reading and measuring telemetry; required drip and titration experience; current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Additional Information: The unit supports a 12-bed capacity with a 2:1 patient-to-clinician ratio and serves all patient populations. Scrub attire is provided by the facility.
