Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Austin, TX. This is a contract position for 13 weeks, offering a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We are looking for skilled nurses who thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 16
• Staffing: 12 nurses (11 day shift, 1 night shift)
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1
• Type of Equipment: IV pumps, Arterial lines, Bipaps, Chest tubes, Bladder scan, Doppler for pulse checks
• EMR: Meditech
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Requirements:

• Must Have: PALS, ACLS, Phase 1 experience
• Preferred: Meditech experience, Critical care experience

Typical Procedures:

• Nerve blocks
• Lumbar punctures
• Chest tube placement
