Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a surgery center role requiring at least 1 year of PACU experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Recovery Room/PACU unit of a surgery center
• Patient population includes General, ENT, GYN, Plastics, Ortho (Sports/Joints), and Spine pain cases
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Uses SIS and paper EMR systems
• 5 days per week schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts
• Required to float to all surgery centers on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, with no expiration within 30 days of start
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU experience required
• GI Recovery and Pain Recovery experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for a variety of surgical specialties
• Join a team including an admin, director, charge nurse, and 5-7 RNs depending on volume
• Best suited for candidates who are flexible and work well in a fast-paced environment
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
