Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a contract position requiring critical care PACU experience and IL licensure.

Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of an acute care hospital
• Day/Evening shifts, 9-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Rotating start times between 8am-11am with PACU end time around 8:30pm
• No floating required
• On-call requirement of 3 weeknights (8pm-7am) and one 24-hour weekend shift per 6-week schedule with 30-minute callback time
• Holiday coverage required per call rotation
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 3+ years of solid acute care hospital experience required
• Critical care PACU experience in an acute care hospital setting required
• At least one prior travel contract required
• EKG test score of 80% or higher required before consideration, plus an on-site pass/fail EKG test on Day 1
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant care area within the last year

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care in a hospital PACU setting
• 4 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• RTO maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Credentials due the Wednesday prior to start
