Registered Nurse - Med-Surg/Telemetry (Day Shift)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-Hour Day Shift: 06:45 - 19:15

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. The nurse will provide care for patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, and COVID-19, in a high-acuity mixed acuity unit.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients requiring telemetry and non-invasive respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP).
• Conduct IV starts and administer medications, including cardiac drips and blood products.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists and nursing personnel.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
• Document all patient care activities and interventions in the electronic medical record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry environment.
• Active RN license (NC or Compact license pending is acceptable).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with IV management, CPAP/BiPAP, and telemetry monitoring.
