Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Expected start November 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a progressive care/step-down unit with patient ratios of 1:3–4 (step-down) and 1:4–6 (med-surg)
• Perform and manage tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips and stable ventilated patients
• Operate unit equipment including lifts, chest tubes, and related devices; document care using Cerner EMR
• Float to other med-surg and progressive care units as needed
• Fulfill weekend commitment of 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts per 6-week period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience working with tracheostomy patients
• ACLS and BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with Cerner EMR
• Background in progressive care, step-down, or intermediate care settings
• High level of clinical competence and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
