• Float: Required within the organization as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Comfortable caring for adult PCU/stepdown patients in a mixed-acuity setting
• Experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, CPAP/BiPAP, and medication titration strongly preferred
• Charge nurse capability preferred for night shift RN coverage
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Must be comfortable completing fingerprinting and compliance requirements prior to start
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for adult patients with varying levels of acuity
• Monitor telemetry, assess rhythm changes, and manage dysrhythmias, cardiac drips, and titrated therapies
• Support patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and non-invasive airway management
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV teams, and rapid response support
• Assist with common PCU interventions and equipment such as chest tubes, feeding tubes, wound vacs, and tracheostomy care
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to positive patient outcomes
• Serve as a dependable member of the night shift nursing team in a fast-paced clinical environment
