Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Step Down) position requiring an active IL RN license and ACLS/NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Step Down) of a hospital and trauma center
• Day shift schedule from 7:00A to 7:30P
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

Additional Information

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Document patient care according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, potentially including shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments in support of a patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• COVID-19 vaccination required for consideration
