GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH, where you will provide exceptional care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down setting. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Experience: Must have MS oncology and at least 1 inpatient hematology oncology experience in work history and checklist. A minimum of two years of overall nursing experience is required. First-time travelers are not accepted.
Patient Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: Primarily care for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients.
Medical Unit: High number of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes.
Staffing Ratios: Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5.
Weekends: Variable based on unit needs.
Schedule: No set/blocked scheduling. If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department's needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
Special Focus: Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention.
