Job Title: PCU Registered Nurse (Progressive Care Unit RN)
Location: Eureka, CA 95501
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3×12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM; please confirm shift end time)
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Required Experience: PCU/Stepdown or ICU experience
- Charting System: Epic experience required — HARD STOP
- Travel Experience: Not required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Required Qualifications
- Recent Stepdown/PCU or ICU experience
- Epic charting experience
- Ability to manage cardiac telemetry patients and interpret dysrhythmias
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Preferred Skills
- BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway management
- Oxygen administration
- Blood product administration
- Central line and PICC line management
- IV initiation and maintenance
- Feeding tube care and management
- Heparin protocols
- Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
- Cardiac telemetry and emergency response
- Isolation precautions and PPE
- Post-cardiac angiogram care
- Pre/post-cardiac catheterization care
- Pre/post-cardiac surgery care
