PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our float pool team. This position requires flexibility in floating between multiple facilities within the region.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop personalized care plans.
• Implement and document nursing care, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the RN scope of practice.
• Promote patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Utilize experience and judgment to fulfill care objectives, demonstrating a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

Schedule Details

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (3/12's)
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Qualifications

• Must have an active Arizona Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Familiarity with caring for patients on cardiac drips and specific procedures such as TAVRs and Watchman mitral clips.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Unit Information

This unit is a step down from ICU and presents a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1.

Additional Information

• Scrub colors: Any color is acceptable.
• Must be willing to float between departments and locations, including Oro Valley, Houghton, and Sahuarita.
