Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience, AHA certifications, and a valid OK or compact RN license.

Details

  • Pediatric ICU setting within a hospital environment
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
  • Level 1 trauma experience is required
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Level 1 experience required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Provides nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex
  • Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting physiological patient data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Communicates care plans and hospital procedures with patients and families, including at discharge
  • Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (extensions are limited to one, for a maximum of 26 total weeks)
  • Compliance requirements — including drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements — must be completed promptly after accepting an offer; non-compliance may result in cancellation
