WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in New Haven, Connecticut.

Hours: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Pay: $62.07/hr

Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is looking for an RN - Stepdown to start right away in New Haven, CT. Join a dedicated team at a Short Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center with 1,567 staffed beds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the Stepdown unit.
  • Administer medications, including anti-seizure medications and insulin, and manage BiPAP/CPAP systems.
  • Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and manage central lines and chest tubes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic charting system.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with travel experience.
  • Current certifications in BLS and PALS are required.
  • Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and management of respiratory illnesses.
