**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Perioperative / PACU RN Traveler!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Pre-Operative & Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – Traveler - **Department:** Surgical Services - **Location:** Pagosa Springs, Colorado - **Shift:** Weekday Day Shift - **Schedule:** Up to 40 hours/week (based on department operations) - **Call Requirement:** On-call participation may be required; 30-minute response time **Exciting Opportunity Awaits!** Pagosa Springs Medical Center is eager to welcome an experienced Pre-Operative/PACU RN to provide exceptional care for our surgical patients throughout their journeys. **As a Perioperative RN, you will:** - Coordinate and deliver top-notch care in pre-operative and post-operative settings - Work across the perioperative continuum, including: - Pre-Operative Nursing - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - Conscious Sedation - Pre-Admission Testing - Post-operative recovery after various anesthesia types - Assess and monitor patients while managing IV therapies, airways, and pain - Identify changes in patient conditions and respond effectively - Educate patients and families while coordinating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team **Qualifications:** - Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program - Hold a current Colorado RN license in good standing - Possess current AHA BLS certification - Have ACLS and PALS certification as required by the department - Bring previous travel nursing experience and Cerner EHR experience - Relevant experience in Pre-Op, PACU, perioperative, Emergency Department, or ICU settings - Experience caring for patients undergoing: - Orthopedic surgeries - General surgeries - Gynecological procedures - Ophthalmology - ENT and Interventional Pain-Management procedures - Ability to independently manage post-anesthesia patients, recognize changes, and respond accordingly - Strong skills in IV administration, airway management, pain management, and patient assessment **Please Note:** - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required - No new graduates will be considered - Candidates without prior traveler experience or Cerner EHR experience will not be considered **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
