Roles & Responsibilities

• Round with patient care teams to provide expert medication recommendations
• Design and implement oncology treatment protocols using Epic Beacon
• Facilitate seamless transitions of care to outpatient oncology pharmacists
• Evaluate and process non-formulary medication requests
• Coordinate specialized medications for complex patient cases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity academic medical center

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas (or compact license eligible)
• Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience required
• BLS certification required upon start
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of oncology pharmacotherapy and treatment protocols
• Proficiency with Epic and Epic Beacon systems
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient counseling abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, academic medical environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient safety
