Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients’ needs, goals, and physician directions. The role involves delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those patients. The Physical Therapist will design functional treatment programs to facilitate the effective return to community activities and serve as an educator for patients, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals aimed at progressing patients toward discharge.
• Maintain clear, concise, and timely medical record documentation, inclusive of goal writing and charge entry.
• Participate in student programs as required, providing appropriate supervision and evaluation.
• Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to the State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of services.

Required Experience

• A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.

Certifications/Licensure

Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas.
