Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a contract position with a duration of approximately 13 weeks.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on the patients' needs, goals, and physician directives. This role includes the delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients and ensures that functional treatment programs are in place for effective community reintegration. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, performing various professional duties related to patient care and program delivery while adhering to organizational standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Participate in the education of students and provide a positive learning environment.
• Create an individualized professional development plan; pursue ongoing professional growth through education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Understand and engage with organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
