Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab and outpatient setting requiring a Texas PT license and inpatient rehab experience.

Details

• Rehab Therapy Outpatient department, with coverage extending to acute care and outpatient services as volume requires
• Day/weekend shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call requirements
• Patient ratios include 5-6 patient care hours in rehab, 12-15 patients in acute care, and 6-7 patients in outpatient
• Unit staffed with 2 full-time PTs and 2 PTAs on day shift
• Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Texas PT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Inpatient rehab experience required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual skills preferred due to high Hispanic patient population
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include PT evaluations, reassessments, and treatments for inpatient rehab patients
• Duties also include team conferences, family training, and home assessments
• Works closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and physicians
• Energetic personality suited to handling diverse team dynamics preferred
• Navy scrub color required
• No crocs, visible tattoos, or facial hair inconsistent with N95 mask fit guidelines
• Follows AIDET and ICARE unit guidelines and policies
• Permanent positions available on the unit
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
