Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient evaluations and utilize clinical reasoning to develop individualized treatment plans and goals aimed at progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and coordination of continuing services
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively based on patient care needs, demonstrating flexibility in caseload management and coverage
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing (Florida licensure required or eligibility to obtain)
• Ability to complete documentation in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace hazard awareness
• Ability to perform within established competency standards for the population served

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning processes
• Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
• Active involvement in professional development, continuing education, or professional organizations
