Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient/swing bed unit, open to new graduates, with Illinois PT licensure and BLS certification required.

Details

• Inpatient and swing bed unit setting
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
• Day shift with no weekend or holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements
• Utilizes therapy EMR for documentation and charging

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) License required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• New graduates considered
• Experience with therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Skilled in orthopedic and neurologic condition evaluation
• Proficient in range of motion, strength, and functional task performance testing
• Experience with tape application for movement stabilization
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including transfers with appropriate body mechanics and safety precautions
• Design and adjust individualized plans of care based on patient goals, evaluation findings, and response to treatment
• Perform clinical examinations and evaluate orthopedic and neurologic impairments
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers
• Communicate regularly with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Supervise support personnel and provide ongoing feedback in accordance with legal and ethical standards
• May involve supervision of students, project completion, and in-service training as part of clinical ladder requirements
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
• Open to first-time travelers
