Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient/outpatient role requiring BLS, state PT license, and at least 1 year of core experience.

Details

• 25-bed critical access hospital with on-campus clinic
• Inpatient Physical Therapy unit with average census of 4 patients per day
• Patient population is mostly geriatric but spans all ages
• Treats rehab, skilled nursing, swing bed, and some outpatient cases including sports medicine, ortho post-op, total joint replacement aftercare, neurologic conditions, and spine-related injuries
• Uses Cerner EMR and unit-specific therapy equipment
• Will float between inpatient and outpatient settings
• No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
• Schedule options include 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts on a set schedule

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• PT state license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of core PT experience required; up to 2 years may be required based on unit-specific needs
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient PT settings required
• Manual therapy skills and neurologic pathology rehab experience required
• Experience treating the stated patient population and diagnoses required

Additional Information

• Supported by other PTs, per diem OT and SLP, admin, and charge staff
• Orientation includes NEO plus 3 shifts of department orientation between Townsend and Bozeman
• Outpatient services close for major holidays, but inpatient coverage may be required for up to 50% of holidays during the contract
• RTO requests must be approved through the manager
• Scrub attire must be a solid professional color with no graphics or logos; business casual also accepted, no jeans
