Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to provide skilled rehabilitation services across a variety of healthcare settings. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, relieve pain, restore function, and maximize patient independence while adapting quickly to new clinical environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, fall prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
  • Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and adaptive equipment.
  • Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining exceptional patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, patient mobility, and functional restoration.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
