Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or physical disabilities. The Physical Therapist will provide evidence-based therapy services in a variety of clinical settings while promoting mobility, functional independence, pain management, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and neuromuscular re-education.
Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and assistive device use.
Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and mobility aids.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
Adapt quickly to new healthcare facilities, workflows, and patient populations.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and rehabilitation therapy principles.
Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
