Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or physical disabilities. The Physical Therapist will provide evidence-based therapy services in a variety of clinical settings while promoting mobility, functional independence, pain management, and overall quality of life.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and neuromuscular re-education.
  • Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and assistive device use.
  • Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and mobility aids.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adapt quickly to new healthcare facilities, workflows, and patient populations.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and rehabilitation therapy principles.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
