We are seeking a dedicated Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to provide rehabilitation services to patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or physical disabilities. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy while adapting to various healthcare settings and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, manual therapy, and mobility interventions.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
Recommend and train patients on the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Adapt quickly to new clinical environments and patient populations.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
Current BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and rehabilitation therapy principles.
Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous travel healthcare experience preferred.
Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings.
Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, geriatric, or medically complex patients.
Ability to work independently and adapt to different healthcare environments.
