Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience and EPIC charting experience for a freestanding outpatient clinic treating adult and pediatric ortho and neuro patients.

Details

• Freestanding outpatient clinic setting
• Patient population includes adults and pediatrics with orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses
• Daily patient load of approximately 75-90 patients
• Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday and Wednesday-Friday, with Tuesdays and weekends off
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside of scope

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• Missouri PT license required (if applicable)
• Manual therapy certification required
• Wound care certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience with pediatric and orthopedic treatment techniques including gait training, strength testing, and adaptive equipment
• Skilled in home exercise programs, patient and family education, and safety/injury prevention
• Knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
• Ability to perform patient lifting and transfers

Additional Information

• Critical access hospital with 35 total staffed beds
• Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, reassessments, and discharge documentation
• Dress code includes solid-colored collared shirt, black pants, and tennis shoes or loafers with no logos or sleeveless attire
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
• Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
