Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - $1,826 per week in Topeka, KS

Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: September 23, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30), 40 hours per week. Three weekend days per 6-week schedule. Approximately 7 patient visits per day with a daily census of 50 patients.

Highlights:

• Inpatient physical therapy position treating diverse patient populations across multiple units including Emergency Department, Ortho/Spine, Rehabilitation, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Varied caseload including orthopedic procedures (total hip/knee/shoulder replacements, hip fractures), neurological conditions (stroke, Parkinson's, spinal cord injury), lower extremity amputations, and cardiac surgeries
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum one year of experience
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 91-day assignment with 24-36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas Physical Therapy license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one year of physical therapy experience
• Acute care experience required, including skills in evaluation, treatment planning, gait training, adaptive/assistive devices, and discharge planning
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
