Unit Rehab (PT, OT, & Speech)
Certs: BLS required, CA licenses
EMR: Cerner
Charge Nurse: Manager on days available (M-F)
Nurse Aides: PT aides - usually one on Sun, mon, tues, 2 on wed-sat
Weekend Requirement: will work every 3rd weekend, could possibly be every other weekend
Holidays: work into perm staff rotation for all modalities
Scrub Color: polo style shirt or a button down long sleeve (burgundy in color) that is provided through vendor through hospital staff if wanted, dark (solid) pants, no scrubs allowed
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: hosp 24/7 yes
IV Team: No
RT 24/7: Yes
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
Shifts: 4 10 hr shifts for PT 7am-5:30pm
Floating: No floating
Floor specific orientation: 8 hours of orientation for all modalities
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: PT - cardiac, stroke (facility is stroke certified), ortho, ICU, neuro, medsurg primarily, they have a pediatrics ward that is low volume case load, also neonatal ICU, travelers not required to work NICU and are not required to have exp with NICU or pediatrics.
Additional Notes: staff for PT is covered 7 days a week. PT has team leader when manager is not there. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in specialty, must have at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience, open to first time travelers.

Facility Location Redding is a city located off Interstate 5 and between the Canadian and Mexican borders. The Sacramento River also goes through this city. During the 1950’s there was a great expansion of the lumber industry and two major dams in the Redding area now known as, the “Whiskeytown Dam” and the “Keswick Dam”, were built.
