Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - $2,166 per week in Lufkin, TX

Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Required Must-Have: - Efficient in patient treatment and documentation - Willingness to work in an inpatient rehabilitation unit - Comfortable treating patients on mid-level critical care floors and orthopedic units Description: The Physical Therapist will primarily work in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include covering mid-level critical care floors, medical-surgical floors, and orthopedic floors. Occasionally, there may be responsibilities for evaluations and/or treatments in inpatient rehabilitation. The therapist will be part of a team of six Physical Therapists during weekdays. On weekends, there will typically be one to three Physical Therapists available. The assignment will involve a rotation between two facilities. The initial period will require weekend coverage, while subsequent shifts will not involve weekend work. The ideal candidate should be proficient and self-sufficient without the need for extensive supervision or guidance. Most of the work will be in an inpatient rehabilitation unit, with additional work in orthopedic units and some medical-surgical floors. The scheduled hours are mainly 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. There may be opportunities for weekend coverage based on mutual agreement between the therapist and the facility. Each Physical Therapist is expected to manage four patients in the rehabilitation unit and complete required documentation within the 8-hour shift. A target of 22 units of service is needed per 8-hour workday.
