Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - $2,410 per week in Petaluma, CA

Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Petaluma, CA 94954

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Petaluma, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), 13-week assignment. 40 hours of orientation provided. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• Acute care physical therapy position primarily serving medical-surgical and hospitalist referrals
• Potential for mixed inpatient and outpatient caseload working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Opportunity to work independently with strong time management autonomy; sole therapist coverage on weekends
• Epic charting system utilized for documentation
• May have opportunity to float to nearby locations if able

Requirements:

• Active California state Physical Therapy license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience; at least 1 year acute care experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred; inpatient and outpatient experience with adult populations preferred
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius or willing to accept local compensation
