Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist- Perform physical therapy evaluation and treatment of patients based upon physician orders/referrals
- Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate tools and procedures
- Review patient records for current diagnosis, history, precautions, and contraindications
- Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans
- Regularly reassess the effectiveness of treatment plans and patient progress
- Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team and others
- Consult with medical providers regarding evaluations and treatment
- Recommend and assist in securing adaptive equipment for patients
- Maintain and submit required documentation
- Adhere to standards of business conduct and professional practice
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
- Participate in or conduct staff development programs and obtain continuing education
Requirements of the Physical Therapist- GA License
