Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist- Gather pertinent data from charts and other caregivers; discuss with the physician as necessary
- Independently assess all patient types as assigned
- Recognize additional needs during evaluations and exercise good judgment in decision-making for additional testing
- Interpret results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals
- Reassess patient progress regularly per department and regulatory policy, or when the need arises
- Identify appropriate equipment, discuss with patient and family, and make recommendations
Requirements of the Physical Therapist- Bachelor's degree required, Doctorate preferred
- LPT License in the state of TX (or compact) required
- BLS required (AHA only)
